MARQUEE VENUES IN DORSET

There are some wonderful venues in Dorset that either allow a marquee to be erected in their grounds, or have a marquee already on sitethat can be hired for Dorset events. We have identified the following venues, and we will update this as others come to our attention.

The Windmill. Blackmore Vale, East Knoyle, Wiltshire/Dorset borders.
The windmill overlooks beautiful unspoilt countryside with magnificent views over the Blackmore Vale. It has its own made to measure marquee around the base of the windmill, and provides a unique and very special location with enough space for over one hundred guests. It is close to the A303, and is available for weddings, parties and corporate events.

Parley Manor. Parley Green, Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 6BB
Set in 4 acres of parkland and picturesque gardens just 10 minutes from Bournemouth town centre, Parley Manor was built in the early 1700's on a large country estate. An elegant wedding marquee is situated in the Italian walled garden, is fully equipped, and can be themed to suit your special day. This stunning Dorset marquee venue has an enchanted starlight canopy, and can accomodate up to 150 seated guests.

Sherborne Castle. New Road, Sherborne, Dorset. DT9 5NR.
This glorious Historic House was built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594, has been the home of the Digby family since 1617, and 'Capability' Brown created the 50 acre lake and landscaped the gardens in 1753. It is a wonderful stately venue for Civil Marriage Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships and Wedding Receptions, as well as being popular for a variety of private parties and corporate functions. There is ample room in the gardens for large marquees, which are offered on a venue only basis, so you are free to make your own marquee hire arrangements (subject to their approval obviously).

Symondsbury Manor. Bridport, Dorset. DT6 6HD.
This is a beautiful Tudor house set in 2.5 acres, decorated in a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles, with superb views over the surrounding hills and countryside. Its large grounds can easily accomodate a marquee, and a Dorset marquee hire can be arranged to include catering, music, marquee furniture etc. This is a very fine Dorset marquee venue in a very relaxed and informal setting.

Holton Lee. East Holton, Holton Heath, Poole, Dorset. BH16 6JN.
Holton Lee is a relaxed and informal venue occupying a beautiful and varied landscape just six mile from the stunning Poole Harbour and some of the best beaches in England. It is ideal for a wide range of private and business events from weddings to corporate events. A marquee is available with a seating capacity for up to 150 people. If seating is not required, it can accomodate up to 300 people. Catered and self-catered accommodation is also available for up to 30 people. This Dorset marquee venue is available for hire all year round and is highly recommended.
